Departments: NCS and StreetGames
I have been with Flying Futures for the last four years where I started as a participant on the NCS programme! This is when I discovered my interests in the programme and the youth engagement sector. I then moved onto gaining an apprenticeship from being a successful applicant. As an apprentice I completed a level 2 and level 3 NVQ with the company as well as gaining other qualifications/skills on my journey. Before all this I was fortunate enough to play football for Rotherham United at the academy level for two years after I finished my education.
In my spare time I enjoy either playing or watching most if not all sports! I’m a keen footballer and play for Brodsworth Welfare a local football team. I’m also a golf enthusiast along with many other sports.
My main role at Flying Futures is supporting the engagement on our NCS programmes. This involves project planning, booking venues, organising events and engaging with young people prior to programme, on programme and even after programme on our graduate/ambassador programme.
My other main role at Flying Futures is to manage the delivery of five doorstep clubs with my colleague across Doncaster. This is making sure that 14-24 year olds get the chance to be involved in a different range of sports in their own area, one night a week. This involves organising/planning of delivery and the management of our Apprentices.
