I’m really excited to be starting as the new Recruitment Officer for the NCS programme.
I worked on NCS last summer and really loved it – my team were great fun and I found it really rewarding to see them develop over the programme. Once it finished, I decided that I’d love to work on NCS full-time.
I studied Chemistry at Uni, but all of my other jobs and volunteer roles have been with young people – including running First Aid workshops in schools for a charity, presenting interactive Science sessions and being a Tour Guide for school trips in France. I’ve also volunteered abroad in India with the International Citizen Service and in Rwanda and Jordan.
In my spare time, I love cooking, travelling and getting out in the countryside.
As a Recruitment Officer, I’ll be persuading young people to sign up for NCS. I visit schools and colleges and deliver assemblies or run stalls at lunchtimes and tell young people all about how amazing NCS is!
I work with schools and colleges across York as well as Special Educational Needs schools, and I’m looking forward to visiting them all and getting to know their staff and young people.
