Flying Futures CIC proudly launched the #TakeTheReins (#TTR) programme in March 2017. The 5 Star Active North Hub commenced through the partnership between Flying Futures CIC, Richard Fahey Racing and Harrowells Limited.
The programme aims to raise awareness of the opportunities available and to promote employability within the horse racing industry.
Our new ambassador for the #TTR programme is the very talented Sammy Jo Bell; she is keen to be involved in the programme and believes that it will help young people in a similar way that working on the yard helped her at a young age. Through her career she is now known as one of the leading female jockeys within the horse racing industry; and has taken an outstanding £660,126 in prize money. All though she may only be 5 feet tall, it’s clear her stature has continued to grow within the world of horse racing. In 2017 alone she took home 16 wins and grand total of £176, 815.
So as you can see, were excited to introduce Sammy to the #TTR programme and see what opportunities the upcoming months are going to bring.
