My main role at Flying Futures is to engage with the young people signed up to our Stockton programme, this involves planning events, booking venues and engaging with young people throughout the process from sign up to graduation. I’m also a Programme Leader for one of our summer programmes!
A little bit about me; in 2011 I graduated from Teesside University with a BA (Hons) in Media Production Professional Practice, whilst there I also ran my own radio show on two local FM stations. Prior to this I gained a BTEC in Musical Theatre, this stemmed from my passion for performing arts, so when I’m not working at NCS you’ll either find me performing in a show or choreographing one!
I’ve worked with young people for just over 7 years, my most recent experiences have been working as a Camp Counselor for 3 summers at an American summer camp. In-between these summers I ran my own business as a children’s entertainer and performing arts teacher in local schools and theatre schools.
I’ve always had an interest and passion for working with young people and helping them achieve their goals, I feel that NCS provides a fantastic opportunity for young people and I’m so happy I’m a part of helping that happen, as well as making a difference in society.
