Hi my name is Cam!
I graduated from the University of Bradford in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I then completed my Initial Teacher Training to become a trained Psychology teacher in 2018.
After this year of working closely with young people I decided to try my hand at working for NCS. I worked as a Mentor on one of the 2018 Summer programmes and fell in love with NCS. I quickly signed up to the Autumn programmes and my NCS passion continued to grow.
I then applied for and was successful in gaining a full time role at Flying Futures to continue my own NCS journey, and to grow my passion of working with young people.
In my spare time I enjoy to watch and play loads of different sports, including football, I’m a massive Derby County fan and make good use of my season ticket!
My role at Flying Futures is to go out and engage young people in schools and colleges, across North Yorkshire and East Riding, urging them to sign up for the NCS programme.
I work with schools & colleges to arrange meetings, deliver assemblies, tutor group sessions & lunch-time stalls to inform young people of the unique NCS experience, and to entice them into taking part in one of the programmes.
