Adventure Cooks is a programme which tackles holiday hunger within disadvantaged communities, providing meals for young people whilst teaching them about nutrition, food safety whilst staying active and learning how to stay fit in a fun and adventurous environment
Young people learn all about food and eating healthily whilst participating in the preparation of their own food. They try different healthy foods and learn new games and sports that will keep them active.
Adventure Cooks takes young people on a journey of discovery and breaks down the challenges young people have with food and keeping active. A lot of the activities take place outside with Outdoor Cooking, Climbing Walls, Tag Archery, Zumba, Bush craft including Shelter building, carnival skills and sports days. Not forgetting, Nutrition, Basic Food Safety, First Aid and Health and Wellbeing sessions.
Adventure Cooks programmes take place during school holidays within Yorkshire and the North East.
