Aston Richardson has been named the Young Coach of the Year Award winner at this year’s StreetGames National Awards. Aston is based in Doncaster, a local resident of Stainforth, was recognised by the awarding panel for his outstanding achievements in the field of youth and community sports, beating out a number of fantastic competitors in the process! Aston is a figure head of community sport in Stainforth, the area which he participated and volunteered in doorstep sports clubs

The event, which took place on Tuesday 20th March at the De Vere Staverton Estate in Daventry, saw more than 200 delegates gather to applaud the efforts of these deserving finalists.  

Aston was delighted to receive this award, speaking after the event: 

“The award represents the great work that Flying Futures do in Doncaster, credit must go to the other coaches who have helped and guided me along the way. Hopefully we can continue to provide doorstep sport to the young people.” 

StreetGames’ CEO Jane Ashworth OBE also added her congratulations, stating:

“I’m told by the judging panel that this year’s categories were are strong as they’ve ever been, which makes our winners’ achievements even more exceptional! Thank you once again for all of the inspiring work that you do on behalf of disadvantaged young people in your community. Without your passion, determination and skill, none of our work to change sport, change communities, and to change lives would be possible”.
