Flying Futures CIC proudly launched the #TakeTheReins (#TTR) programme in March 2017. The 5 Star Active North Hub commenced through the partnership between Flying Futures CIC, Richard Fahey Racing and Harrowells Limited.
The programme aims to give young people an increased awareness of the opportunities available and to promote employability within the horse racing industry. #TakeTheReins is being championed by no other than Adam McNamara – the award winning jockey.
Adam is keen to be involved in the programme and believes that it will help young people in a similar way that working on the yard helped him at a young age. He says it will “provide opportunities for young people to learn about the industry and experience working on the yard”. He hopes the programme will “help young people make more informed decisions about their future career prospects and help them better understand the opportunities available to them within the industry”.
