Supporting Young People and Thriving Communities by Harnessing the Power of Sport, Physical Activity, Employment, Citizenship, and Health & Well-being to Create Lasting Positive Change.

Diversionary Youth Work

We are passionate about engaging young people in the heart of their communities. Through out ‘Sports on the Streets’ project, we take our project to the young people. Using sport and physical activity as a vehicle for engagement, our sessions are designed by the young people, for the young people. Our experienced team provide support, activities (and most importantly) refreshments!

Employability

Positive Ambition is Flying Futures’ own employability programme designed to guide young people through a journey of leadership, mental health and well-being, employability skills, and aspiration building. Delivered in a range of different ways, the programme equips young people with the essential skills needed to secure employment and succeed in their roles. It also focuses on developing resilience and leadership abilities, while fostering increased aspirations for their future success. With industry experts, workshops and activities tailored to challenge and build resilience, this bespoke programme provides young people with life skills, increased aspirations and tangible qualification such as First Aid and Leadership.

Young people will deliver a real project, harnessing their skills in product design, finance and marketing as a team to work together to present their project to industry experts!

Youth Social Action & Citizenship

We are advocates for young people, and we continuously encourage young people to become active, engaged citizens in their communities. Through a variety of initiatives, we empower youth to take on leadership roles, contribute to positive social change, and develop a strong sense of civic responsibility. Our programmes focus on volunteerism, community projects, and fostering a spirit of social action, helping young people build the skills and confidence needed to make a lasting impact on the world around them.

Health & Wellbeing

The Flying Futures Health & Wellbeing project promotes physical, mental, and emotional well-being for young people and communities. Through sports, mental health support, wellbeing workshops, and education, we empower individuals to take charge of their health, build resilience, and develop positive habits for a healthier future. Our MindStrong Teens programme mental health project designed to build emotional resilience and promote well-being among young people.
