Be the Boss

Inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs, innovators and leaders.

Be the Boss is an interactive enterprise and enrichment programme delivered within schools, giving young people the opportunity to explore business, develop creative ideas and experience what it takes to become an entrepreneur.

Through practical challenges and collaborative activities, pupils are encouraged to think creatively, work as a team and turn their ideas into realistic business concepts.

The programme brings enterprise education to life, helping young people develop transferable skills that will support them throughout education, employment and beyond.

What Does the Programme Involve?

Young people work through the different stages of developing their own business idea, from identifying an opportunity to creating a brand and presenting a proposal.

Activities include:

  • Business Development: Exploring ideas, identifying opportunities and developing a business concept.
  • Branding and Identity: Creating business names, logos and brand identities.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Understanding target audiences and exploring how to promote a product or service.
  • Business Planning: Considering costs, pricing and how a business could operate.
  • Pitching and Presenting: Developing and delivering business proposals, building confidence in public speaking and communication.

Making a Difference

Be the Boss supports young people to develop:

  • Creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Confidence, independence and decision-making.
  • Financial awareness and problem-solving skills.
  • Greater awareness of future education, employment and enterprise opportunities.

Our Aim

To inspire young people to think big, believe in their ideas and develop the confidence and practical skills to turn their ambitions into reality.
